With our proposal for ‘Hammam. Steaming Storries’ we want to contribute to the recognition of this special ritual. On the one hand, there is the historical universal

context of the bathhouse, which is about traditions and the emergence of an architectural

typology that has its origins from the Greeks and Romans. On the other hand, there is the personal dialoguewith this authentic use in the artist’s work today. Like a thread, they connect present with past.

In the Expo we combined three basic elements throughout the given route: the pedestal or seating element, the canvas as a support for text or image, and a vertical surface as a substrate for the artworks or projection surface. In the materialisation of the scenography, we want to reflect the contrast between solid and thin.

it’s sprayed on ground,

pure souls in bodies likewise

have been bound”
