The building is located between the raised dike and a mixed forest. The former brick house with tiled roof, wooden joinery and a large walled courtyard was in a dilapidated state. The conversion had two purposes: to increase the relationship between the house and the surrounding nature and to resolve the constructional deficiencies in order to improve the energy sufficiency and the ecological interaction with its surroundings.
